StoneBridge Christian Preschool

About us

StoneBridge Christian Preschool is a ministry of StoneBridge Christian Church. The preschool was founded in the late 1980’s and has continued to grow along with the church. We now have over 100 students and 11 staff members. We are accredited by the State of Nebraska, and we follow all of the state guidelines for preschools. We offer classes for children ages 2-5. Our morning sessions run from 9:00-11:30 a.m., and our afternoon sessions run from 12:15-2:45 p.m.

Our Philosophy and Curriculum

We provide a Christian environment where children grow in their love for Jesus and also in their life and learning skills. At StoneBridge Christian Preschool, we use “The Carpenter’s Kids” curriculum. It is an age appropriate, developmental approach to learning foundational and fundamental skills in a Christian environment. The children engage in learning centers that are designed to strengthen skills in math, language and literacy, dramatic play, music and movement, art, manipulatives, and imaginative play. Children have the opportunity to engage in activities focused on both fine and large motor skills. Spiritual growth is encouraged through Bible stories, music, and prayer.

Each preschool day consists of a variety of large and small group activities. Center activities change according to the themes and objectives of each week. Some of the centers offered are Reading, Listening, Writing, Art, Science, Active play, Dramatic play, Music, Numbers and Math, and a variety of others. Outdoor activities are offered as often as weather permits.

Facilities

The preschool utilizes rooms in the lower level of the StoneBridge Christian Church. These spacious rooms are equipped and prepared just for children. The facility includes two indoor play areas and a large activity room.
